CHATSWOOD
apartment

Inspired by our analysis of the apartment's spatial flow, we embarked on a journey to efficiently replan its layout. The kitchen’s excess circulation space was embraced by blurring the distinction to adjacent zones, affording a more seamless flow between settings, while maximising opportunities for storage.

Structural changes allow direct access from the kitchen to the rest of the apartment, forming two entry points into the space. Additional storage is accommodated with an appliance cupboard on one side and a cooktop on the other, with dining storage seamlessly connecting the two spaces.

The continuation of joinery from the kitchen into the dining area and living room entertainment unit visually extends the eye, creating the impression of a much larger space.
