TURRAMURRA
townhouse

Tasked with furnishing a four-level townhouse in Sydney's leafy North Shore, we sought to craft a serene atmosphere that highlighted the client’s expressive art collection. With varying natural light and limited outlook, we embraced an inward focus, with gentle tints of sage and mauve grey fostering diverse experiences as sunlight moves through the house.

House and Garden, October 2020

Concealed joinery, finished in painted timber, frames a striking painting by Amy Wright. The panelled surface creates depth and texture, while delivering valuable hidden storage for the dining room.

Committed to aging in place, the clients required robust, sturdy furniture pieces with suitable seat heights and generous proportions. We opted for high back chairs, firm cushions, tables with soft edges and easy to use joinery systems while maintaining a stylish, contemporary aesthetic.

Marrying the colour of the joinery and walls allowed us to introduce texture and subtle tones, imbuing the interior with a feeling of clarity and calmness.
